Club Notes - 10th June 2007Seniors
The hunt for the London Senior Football Championship started for the Gaels last Sunday at Ruislip against a disapointing Saint Clarets.
Going into the game as strong favourites the Gaels would not have expected such a doddle as the game turned into a shooting practice session.
From the off it was the in form Darragh Kinnevey was was causing all sorts of problems, scoring at ease with a goal and three points with good support from Francie Cleary and Gary Kane.
Full back Stephen Boyle get the score of the game, starting a move from defence and finishing it off in fine style in the back of the Clarets net. Shaun Campbell fitted in well at wing back alongside the solid Niall Spain, while in midfield Adrain McGeehan and the fit as a butchers dog Declan Meehan had little to worry them.
The only down side of the game was the dismissal of Declan Meehan for two yellow cards which can only be described as harsh from the referee. Final Score TCG 4-18 St Clarets 0-3
So its the Holders Saint Brendans up next for us on the weekend of 23/24th June and we want to be tuned in for this one as we never get it easy against them.
