The senior team had their first game last Sunday in Ruislip against Neasden Gaels and after a slow start they stepped up the pace and went into half time 4 points down however after a fight back in the second half the score was narrowed down to a point behind it was too little too late as the final whistle blew. Tir Chonaill Gaels 0.11 Neasden Gaels 0.12.

Under 16s

Tir Chonaill Gaels under 16s got their season off to a winning start after a lucky win over the Round Towers in a sun drenched Mitcham. Both teams deserved credit for the very sporting manner in which they played. The supporters were kept on their toes, as the teams were level on several occasions only for the Gaels to get a few late scores to seal the win. A draw would have been a fair result as neither team deserved to lose. It was nice to see a game with such a low free count as the game was able to flow freely and this allowed us to see some very entertaining football. Tir Chonaill Gaels had some outstanding performances from Phillip Butler, Laurence Moore and Liam Cunningham. Round towers also had a few good performances from Liam McReavy and William Rainbow. Tir Chonaill Gaels next match is in Greenford against Glen Rovers of Watford Saturday 21st at 3 oclock, please come and support the team.

Tom OConnor

The club was very happy to see Tom back down at Greenford on Saturday and again in Ruislip on Sunday looking very well after his illness we all wish him well

Paris Cycle

Four club members set off last Wednesday 11th June on a four day charity cycle from London to Paris.

Barry McDonagh, Maurice Carr, Stevie Keane and Stephen McLoughlin put in a great effort between them to complete the challenge and a diary is available to read on the website of their eventful journey!!

Well done to the 4 lads and the club would like to congratulate them on their great fundraising efforts.
