Club Notes - 18th August 2008

Senior Team

Well done to the senior team on there excellent victory over St Brendan’s last Saturday in Ruislip in the championship. In a must win game the Gaels made there intentions from the start by taking a 1-4 to no score lead after 20mins with Andy Gallagher finding the net. There were excellent defensive displays from Paddy Callaghan and Daniel O’Leary, in midfield Fergus Mahon and Gary McClousky were in control while up front Kevin Downes and Dan McCusker were sharp throughout the game. At last Connor Beirne made his debut in the red and white jersey coming on in the final ten minutes to blow away the cobwebs. Final score TCG 2-13, St Brendan’s 1-5. No time to rest as we prepare for this weekends league final against Fulham Irish, match details can be found in the local papers or on our website.  

Summer Camp 

There will be a Summer Camp applications evening this Friday between 6.00pm and 8.00pm if you have requested a place for you child at the summer camp or would like to include your child please attend on Friday to complete the application forms. This will be held in the clubhouse. Summer Camp is being held on the 26th August – 29th August for ages 6 – 12 years. David Keating

A Mass is being held on the 29th August at 8.00pm in Tir Chonaill Gaels clubhouse for the first anniversary of David Keating. All are welcome. 

Race Night

There will be a race night in O’Flaherty’s bar in North Harrow on Saturday 6th September in aid of the injured players’ fund. Race cards are available from Brian McBrearty and Paul Coggins.  

Deepest Sympathy

The club would like to pass on there condolences to former player Pascal Cullen, who lost his father Tom last week in Letterkenny. Out thoughts are with him and his family at this difficult time.
