Club Notes - 9th July 2007

The Junior team got back to winning ways last Sunday against Dulwich Harps in the McArdle cup at Ruislip. In a tight game against a more experienced and physical Dulwich it was the sharpness and fitness of the younger Gaels team that proved the difference in the end.

Goalkeeper Kyle Hogan kept a clean sheet after some fine saves while it was the half back line of McFadden, Williamson and Somers that stood out considering their still Minors for another two years. Gavin McEvoy was the man of the match with his awesome work rate and fielding but he still has room for improvement with his shooting!! Chris Maroney and Stefan Carr held the ball up well in attack with good support from the Mullan brothers.

Final score TCG 0-10, Dulwich Harps 0-5.

Congratulations to the under 12 team on winning the Peter McGlynn Memorial cup blitz played at Greenford on Sunday after defeating the Tara club in the final.
