Club Notes - 27th April 2009

Senior team
The Senior team got back to winning ways last Sunday at Ruislip against Saint Clarets with a comfortable 0-18 to 0-5 score in the Tipperary Cup.

Played in hot conditions it took the Gaels time to settle down with an under strength Clarets not making it easy, but as the game moved on the fitter team took some impressive scores from Kevin Downes, JP O’Donnell, Keith Morrow, Liam Gavaghan and young Clive Mills scoring on his senior debut.

Mc Cardle Cup
The McCardle cup team bandwagon rolls on after a hard fought win over Saint Antonys at Reading on Sunday.

Having to field a young side due to injuries and availability, the boys gave as good as they got against a physical Antonys and came out the right side of a 2-8 to 1-8 score.

Best on the day were Liam Gavaghan , Ricky Williamson, Kevin Mc Fadden and man of the match Liam Mullan.

The Minor team went down by two points to the Parnells last Saturday in an entertaining game at a sunny Greenford.

Credit to the boys for putting on a brave performance in the 2008 league final match with good displays from Kevin Mc Fadden, Ben O’Mahony and the impressive Liam Gavaghan with a personal score of 0-7
