Club Notes - 11th May 2009

Senior
The senior team started off their league campaign at Ruislip last Sunday with a hard earned victory over St Brendans. A Brian McBrearty double save and a St Brendans missed penalty kept the Gaels in contention in the first half. In the second half the Greenford men upped the tempo with the impressive JP O’Donnell scoring an opportunist goal to add to his previous two points. Kevin Downes was not to be out done scoring 1-2 with the goal coming from the penalty spot. Best on the day were Brian McBrearty keeping a clean sheet and in doing so keeping the Gaels in the game, last years player of the year Ronan Walsh, Wicklow man Brendan O’Shea making his Debut and Liam Mulllan who worked his socks off.
Final score Tir Chonaill Gaels 2-5, St Brendans 0-6
