TCG Minor Board Club Notes - 11th May 2009

Peter McGlynn Memorial Tournament 
Saturday 9th May saw Tir Chonaill Gaels hold their annual Peter McGlynn Memorial Tournament for Under 12’s in bright sunshine.  This year eight teams competed in the Tournament with Parnells winning the Cup and Tir Chonaill Gaels winning the Shield.  Many thanks to all the teams who competed along with their mentors and managers - St. Joseph’s from Waltham Cross, St.Dymphna’s from Luton, Taras (who entered two teams) Dulwich Harps, St. Kiernan’s, Parnells and our own Tir Chonaill Gaels. Sincere thanks to Michael and Margaret McGlynn for their support and for presenting the trophies and medals on the day.  Thanks also to Adrian and the clubhouse staff for providing food and refreshments for all the participating teams, to our referees and all those who contributed in any way to making this tournament so successful.
TCG Girls U15 Mini-Tournament
The TCG Girls ran their first tournament alongside the Peter McGlynn Tournament on Saturday with three teams taking part, Dulwich Harps, Tara and Tir Chonaill Gaels. Winners on the day were Dulwich Harps with Tara's coming a close second.  Our appeciation to Michael and Margaret McGlynn for presenting the winning Trophy and medals on the day.  Thank you to the Teams Managers, Paula Henry (Dulwich) and Gemma Tracey (Tara) for their support on the day.  Also thanks to our Referees - Ricky Williamson, Karen Togher, Michael Keating and Kevin McFadden, again thanks to Karen for supplying the goals, to Adrian and the girls for food and refreshments and last but not least to all those who turned out to watch the Girls and made it such a memorable day.
May Summer Camp
Summer Camp will take place from Tues 26th to Fri 29th May (inclusive) running from 9.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. Registration is available from 9 a.m. each day with latest pick-up at 3.00 p.m.  The Summer Camp presentation will take place at 2.30 p.m. on Friday 29th May, to which parents/carers are invited to attend. Application Forms are available to download on the TCG Website - www.tirchonaillgaels.com - or are available for collection during Friday night training sessions at Greenford.  Numbers are limited so early booking is advisable.
A reminder to any players that have yet to register - Registration continues on Friday nights from 7.30 p.m. onwards at the clubhouse.
U14 London Training - Wednesday - Greenford
London U14 Training continues at Greenford on Wednesday with Girls Training commencing at 6.30 p.m.
Parents Meeting
There will be a short Parents Meeting in the Clubhouse during Friday nights training (15th May).
