Tir Chonaill Gaels Club Notes - 27th September 2009
This Sunday the senior team go into battle in a rerun of last year’s championship final against Neasden Gaels at Ruislip.
In what is sure to be another close contest the Gaels will be going full out to win an historic three in a row, but a Neasden team hell bent on revenge for last year’s one point defeat will make this fixture a match not to be missed.
Best of luck to Paul and the lads. Throw-in is at 3-30pm and the club ask for a big turn out from our members.
Hard luck to the under 21 team after they went down to St Kiernans in the championship final at Ruislip last Sunday by a score line of 2-14 to 2-6.
Best for the Gaels on the day were Rick Williamson in goals, Kevin Mc Fadden and Stefan Carr in defence, Shane Mc Weeney at midfield while Liam Gavaghan used all of his senior experience to lead the forward line.
On Friday the club hosts its annual golf day at South Herts golf club, Totteridge lane.
This event is an important date on the club calendar with Tom Mohan and Brian Corry putting in a huge effort in the organization. Many thanks in advance for all the sponsorship the club has received and to all of the participating teams.
With the Brussels trip fast approaching, all travelling members are asked to pay their outstanding fee’s ASAP to Adrian at the club.
