O'Dea looks forward to Kilmurry visit

10 December 2009

Chairman of the Clare Association in London Patrick O'Dea has welcomed the fact that a club from his native county will be in Ruislip next January.

Last Sunday, Kilmurry Ibrickane were crowned Munster senior football champions when they defeated Kerry representatives Kerins O'Rahillys in an enthralling encounter that went down to the wire.

This was the Clare side's second provincial title, while they competed in last year's decider also, so they have the big match experience, and O'Dea is looking forward to a good match with them and Tir Chonaill Gaels in the All-Ireland club SFC quarterfinal next February.

"It should be a fantastic occasion," said O'Dea. "It's a wonderful achievement for the side and I'm sure there'll be plenty of Clare support at Ruislip for the tussle."
