Originally from Ardra in Donegal, Michael was at the official opening of the clubhouse in October 2002.

Happy Birthday Tom

Birthday wishes to Tom O’Connor who celebrated his 80th last weekend in the Club with family and friends. Tom is President of the Minor board and has being a great servant to the club over the last number of years helping out at the sevens and other club events. He still found time to sell 100 plus lotto tickets on the night to his guests. We all look forward to his ninetieth.

Andy Duffy Memorial

Any club members wishing to go back to Downings in Donegal for the Andy Duffy memorial weekend in October can contact Stevie McLoughlin (07788723922) for travel arrangements and Brendan Vaughan (07941045767) for accommodation details.

Adios Terry and Sarah

The club would like to give its best wishes to Terry and Sarah McGivern who have returned home to Newry, county Down recently. Terry has played for the Gaels for number of years winning a couple of Championships, but recently work commitments has prevented him from playing Senior football which he didn’t mind as he didn’t have to train and could afford to put on a few pounds and play for the stiffs! Now he is in training back in Down getting in shape to square up to his old buddy Andy “bus” Carr in Division “4”
