Tir Chonaill Gaels Club Notes - 22nd February 2010

The club AGM takes place on Saturday 6th March at 4.30pm in the clubhouse, all members are asked to attend with any new members welcome to come along.

It’s at this time of the year when club members are out canvassing for votes as they fight for position on the top table. Rumour on the street has it that the current Vice Chair and Secretary are looking for the highest rank in the club, but the Chairman has quoted, “he is ready to fight dirty to hold onto the Holy Grail” watch this space!!

Cheltenham Races

The club are off to the Cheltenham races on Tuesday 16th March for its annual pilgrimage to the home of the National Hunt.

Tickets are on sale from Adrian at the club priced £55, which covers Breakfast, return coach journey, refreshments and a buffet.

Contact Adrian on 0208 8643494 or 07813943364 to make your booking.

Best Wishes

The club give their best wishes to senior player Johnny Hughes who is retuning home after a year at the club. Johnny had an outstanding game for London at the weekend, scoring a goal in his final game.

Good to see goalkeeper Brian Mc Brearty back out of hospital on crutches after his knee operation. Brian’s op went well and said he is feeling stiff which means now he qualifies to play for the reserve team along with the already creaking Mc Loughlin, Carr and Coggins.
