Tir Chonaill Gaels Minor Board Notes - 10th May 2010
Peter McGlynn Tournament
Last Saturday, in wintry conditions, the biggest ever Peter McGlynn Memorial Tournament was held at Greenford. A total of fifteen U12 boys’ teams and three U15 girls teams took part in a very busy day of football. Three finals were played with Taras defeating Parnells in group A, Round Towers beating St Kiernan’s in group B and Dulwich Harps beating Tir Chonaill Gaels and Taras in the girl’s competition. The trophies were presented by Michael and Margret McGlynn, (parents of the late Peter), to the winners of each competition.
The TCG Minor Board would like to thank all the teams who took part in the tournament and their supporters. Thank you also to our own committee members and parents for all their hard work on the day, our sponsors, Adrian and staff for providing the food for all the teams, our young referees and our co-ordinator Gerard who helped run and officiate the day.
Thank you to Reel Estates (http://www.reel-estates.co.uk) for sponsoring new kits for the U12's and also to Tomorrow Communications for sponsoring kit for the TCG Girls. Both teams wore their respective kit with pride for the Peter McGlynn Tournament held on Saturday last.
