Club Notes - 24th September

Senior Football

Itís all systems go now as our senior team cemented their place in the London county final after an impressive performance against the Parnells last Saturday.

Going into the game as favourites but with caution the Gaels always had the upper hand with the defence keeping the Parnells goal opportunities to a minimum while the forwards were looking sharp throughout.

Shaun Campbell, Stevie Boyle and Captain Hughie Cunningham always had the upper hand in defence with Declan Meehan and Gary Kane more than held their own in the middle of the park.

Up front it was Cork man James OíConnell who was pulling the strings with his best game since joining the club with a personal scoring tally of 1-5.

He was well supported by the crafty Darragh Kinneavy and the hard working Francie Cleary. Final Score TCG 1-17, Parnells 0-9 Sunday 14th October is the date for the final were we will cross swords with old foes the KKG who will need no motivation to take us on.

This Sunday we take part in the League final against the Round Towers at Ruislip with a 3-30pm throw-in, all support welcome.
