Busiest weekend in football championships

Next weekend will be the busiest of the GAA Football All-Ireland Championship so far with no fewer than twelve games on the schedule for Saturday and Sunday. Saturday features eight first round qualifiers while on Sunday, Leinster stages two semi-finals in Croke Park; Castlebar hosts Galway v Mayo in the Connacht semi-final while it's Tyrone v Donegal in the second Ulster semi-final at Clones to decide who meets Derry in the final.

DONEGAL v TYRONE, Sunday, Clones, 3.30
They meet for the first time since 2007 in the Ulster championship and the 17th time in all, with Tyrone leading 10-5 while there has been one draw from the previous sixteen clashes. Tyrone, champions for the last two years, are bidding to reach their third successive final for the first time since 1996. Donegal last reached the final in 2006
where they lost to Armagh.
