Coggins has no problems over favourites tag

07 July 2011

London football manager Paul Coggins
London are in the unusual position of being favourites for a championship match, but manager Paul Coggins feels that the players are under no pressure because of this.

For arguably, the first time ever, the Exiles are favourites in a championship match as bookmakers Paddy Power has been at 4/6 to beat Waterford on Saturday evening.

Once again, London have a home tie and Ruislip is expected to be full to capacity as they look to win two consecutive games in the championship.

There are big expectations on the players, but Coggins is adamant that the squad will not be overawed by the hype surrounding them.

"It's not an uncomfortable place for us to be in," Coggins stated to the Irish Post. "If you are then you are. But I wouldn't imagine there would be much in it - I've been used to it in my career."
