Tir Chonaill Gaels Club Notes - 25th July 2011

Seniors:
The senior team played round 3 of the league last Sunday against KKG at Greenford and came away with no points.
After a lively start the Gaels were in full control with some excellent scores from John Mc Grath, John Collins and Benny O’Reilly to leave the half time score 7-3.
The second half saw a total collapse from the Gaels with the boys having to play 2nd fiddle to a more determined KKG who beat them in every tackle.
With the first round of the championship less than a week away this will be a big wake up call for the lads with more hard work needed.
Final score TCG 0-8, KKG 0-11

Juniors:
Well done to the junior team after beating Shalloe Pearses in round 2 of the championship at a sun baked Greenford last Sunday.
It was another great team performance with special mention for Philip Butler, veteran Noel Burke and the on fire Kevin “Bomber” Mc Fadden at full forward.
The next match up is a decider against Robert Emmetts with the winner going through to the semi finals. Score TCG 0-10, Shalloe Pearses 0-4

Fixtures:
The senior team play in the first round of the championship this Sunday 31st July against the Parnells at Ruislip with a 5pm throw-in.
