Tir Chonaill Gaels Club Notes - 17th October 2011

Anniversary Mass:

There will be an Anniversary mass for our late chairman Andy Duffy in the clubhouse this Friday 21st October at 7-30pm.

All friends and club members are invited to come along for the occasion.

Club's 50th

On Saturday 27th October 2012 the club is hosting a banquet in the Crown Moran Hotel to help celebrate the club 50th. We are asking those present and past members if they have any old achieves such as photos, press cutting or video to please contact secretary Stephen McLoughlin (07788 723922. Chairman Tom Mohan (07710 3071370) or club PRO Stevie Keane (07950 262609 and we would arrange to get them from you and back to you safely. We are planning on doing a 50th book and these would be a massive help to us. Those interested in going to the banquet please contact us to reserve your seat

Our minor team played before the senior championship final on Sunday and although they were beaten against a bigger and more experienced Parnells, things look good for next year with a majority of the team still underage.

Well done to all of the lads and to the management team.

The reserve team will play their final game of the season this Saturday 22nd October against Fulham Irish in the League final at Ruislip.

Please check the club website www.tirchonaillgaels.com or local papers for start time.

All support welcome.

Race Night:

The club are holding a fundraising race night in the Gallery bar and restaurant in 407-411 Hendon Way on Friday 28th October with a 8pm start.

There will be food served on the night with a disco to follow, all members who have not received a race card can do by contacting club secretary Stocker on 07788 723 922. It should be a good night’s craic and all members are requested to attend.

Some club members are taking part in a charity bike ride next year. They are doing the "Euro City" bike challenge. It starts on Wednesday 5th September 2012 from London and finishes in Brussels on Saturday 8th September, then returning to London via euro star on Sunday 9th September. It’s a 300 mile cycle over four days taking in London-Harwich-Amsterdam-Breda-Brussels. You can do it for whatever charity you wish.
