Club Notes - 12th November 2007

Seniors.

The senior team added another cup to their already bugling trophy cabinet on Saturday past against Saint Brendan’s in the 2006 Tipperary Cup final.

Played at Greenford, the Gaels fielded a very under strength team with veterans Carr and Coggins dusting off the boots and rule book to collect another medal.

Dave O Brien, Gary Kane and James O’Connell stood out with good support from Jason Mullarkey and Tommy Moriarty.

It was a battle to the end with the experienced Gaels sticking their necks out to win by a score line of 1-10 to 1-07.

Mc Ardle Cup.

Our Mc Ardle cup team travelled to Mitcham on Sunday to play the Round Towers in the semi final and came away empty handed to a more tuned in Towers team.

Weekend Fixtures.

This Sunday we field two teams at Greenford with the Reserves starting things off with the League semi final against Fulham Irish.

The seniors are up next with a Conway cup quarter final against the Parnell’s.

The season to date could not have gone any better for both teams as they go in pursuit of more silverware.

All support is most welcome on Sunday.

Thank you from the Vietnam Veterans.

Stephen McLoughlin, Maurice Somers, Chris Mc Govern and Stevie Keane would like to thank everybody for their support and sponsorship in their recent Vietnam charity cycle challenge.

The lads returned to the UK at the weekend a little worn out in places, but over the moon to complete the gruelling challenge.
