Tir Chonaill Gaels Club Notes 6th February 2012

Best Wishes:
The club would like to pass on our best wishes to three members who have been ill lately.
Vice president Pam Mc Govern who was in hospital last week and in doing so missed her first AGM in almost thirty years. However she is on the mend and we all look forward on her return to Greenford. Former player Damien Gillispie and club member Brid Carr have also been in hospital over the last week and we wish them well with their recoveries.

Ladies Football Team:
The club are starting a ladies football this season with us entering a team in the junior competitions. Any ladies wishing to join an up and coming ladies club can do so by contacting Chairperson Carol Mc Nicholas on 07967583418 or club secretary Stephen Mc Loughlin on 07788 723922 for more details.

Club Membership:
The cost of club membership for the year will be £30, everybody connected to the club are kindly asked to pay this in the coming weeks. Contact any committee member for details.

Child Protection Course:
The Minor Board has arranged a Child Protection Course for Wednesday 22nd February 2012 in the clubhouse. This is an excellent course for anyone wishing to get involved with under-age kids. We would encourage any players from the senior team, wishing to coach kids to please do this course.
 
Presentation Night:
The 2011 Presentation Night has being arranged for Saturday 3rd March in the clubhouse. Senior, Junior, Reserve and Young Player of the year awards will be presented. Club person of the year and the Reserve League Winners medals. This will be a great opportunity for all players from all squads to get together for a good nights craic prior to the season starting.

50th Anniversary Gala:
On Saturday 27th October 2012 the club is hosting a banquet in the Crown Moran Hotel to help celebrate the club 50th. We are asking those present and past members if they have any old achieves such as photos, press cutting or video to please contact secretary Stephen McLoughlin (07788 723922. Chairman Tom Mohan (07710 3071370) or club PRO Stevie Keane (07950 262609 and we would arrange to get them from you and back to you safely. We are planning on doing a 50th book and these would be a massive help to us. Those interested in going to the banquet please contact us to reserve your seat.
