Tir Chonaill Gaels Club Notes - 21st May 2012
The seniors got another win in the league at the weekend with a well deserved win over Tara 0-13 to 0-06. The Gaels welcomed back all the London senior players for the first time this year and although a little rusty with club football the lads put in a decent performance. Mark Gottshe, David McGreevy, and Eoin O’Neill made their first appearance for the club this year and all of them played very well. Luke Kavanagh also made his club debut at full forward and contributed to this good worrkout as the lads now get ready for next weekends championship encounter with Fulham Irish
The seniors are next up in the championship at 1pm in Ruislip this Sunday 27th May against Fulham Irish
The Reserves had a walk over from Tara in the league as did the juniors as both Garryowen and Tara could not field.
This Saturday in the clubhouse nearly ninety members of the club are being Cardiac screened. All players and members will be notified of their screen times over the next few days. The club would like to thank Christina Curran for making this possible, as this is a must do for all present players.
The club are looking forward to the visit of our old friends Killybegs from Donegal on the weekend of 2nd/3rd June. We will be playing two games against the men and ladies of Killybegs on Saturday 2nd June in Greenford. The men’s game will be played for the Andy Duffy Memorial cup.
