Tir Chonaill Gaels Youth Notes - 23rd July 2012

Training will continue on Friday throughout the summer break
Well done to the Under 14s who played a very exciting Shield Final against Round Towers at Ruislip on Wednesday evening. Both teams played some great football with top class skills on show and excellent scores taken. Towers looked to have pulled clear in the first half but TCG pulled back to a two point half time deficit scoring two goals just before the break from Daniel O'Connor and Brendan Rice. The Towers added a few more scores early in the second half and once more the young Gaels responded well to stay in touch, with goals from Conor Callaghan and another from Brendan Rice. With the game in the balance a pointed free from Kieran McManamon put the Gaels ahead for the first time but with the clock running down it was the Towers youngsters who reacted best moving the ball quickly to the other end and scoring a good goal. In the dying minutes Round Towers added another couple of  insurance points which took the game out of the Gaels reach. Congratulation to Round Towers on their win and commiserations and well done to the TCG lads who fought hard and did themselves proud on the night: Thomas O'Regan, Tommy Fay, Danny Fay, Christopher McFadden, Kevin O'Shea, Dino Doyle, Conor McCarthy, Angus Johnston, Ayo Bamgbelu, Conor Callaghan, Kieran McManamon, Brendan Rice, Sean Rice, Joe Holland, Daniel O'Connor, Josh Murphy, Ross Callaghan.
