Tir Chonaill Gaels Club Notes - 23rd July 2012

Seniors:
The senior team got back to winning ways last Sunday against Parnells in a league match at Northwick Park. The opening 30 minutes was some of the best football the team has played all year with a scoring total of 3-11 to 0-3. Goals from Ciaran Boyle, Eoin O’Neill and Benny O’Reilly were some of the highlights in a half were some outstanding link play throughout the team was quite brilliant.
Nobody was prepared for the second half which saw a collapse from the Gaels and seen the teams switch roles as the Parnells dug deep and took control.
Best on the day were Dean Gordon, Mark Gottshe, Eoin O’Neill and Barry Mitchell.
TCG 3-14 Parnells 2-12

Fixtures:
This weekend the senior team play Round Towers in round 2 of the championship.
The junior team play St Anthonys in the league on Wednesday evening 7-30pm at Reading, and then they will play Shalloe Pearses at the weekend in the championship.
For all times and venues please check the website or check local papers.

Ladies:
The ladies team are going from strength to strength after another fantastic win at the weekend over Tara in the Junior championship.
After beating Clonbony in the opening round this result has left the girls in a great position to progress to the semi finals.
The first half was a tight affair but the girls really turned it on in the second half with fine performances from Jenny Dillon, Mary Flaherty, Hayley Hoare, Carol Mc Nicholas, Fiona Morrissey and the superb Anne Marie Mc Gill. TCG 6-10, Tara 1-2

Wedding Bells:
