Tir Chonaill Gaels captain Mark Gottsche is eager to prolong their season until after Christmas.

The London champions must wait until December 16th when they will play against the Munster champions in the All-Ireland club SFC quarterfinal.

However, Gottsche stressed that the whole squad is determined to make the most of their opportunity.

"If we can step it up another gear, which I think we're capable of doing, there's no reason why we can't go into Christmas looking forward to an All-Ireland semi final," Gottsche stated in the Irish Post.

"We're all ambitious lads and we were never going to settle for just winning a county title. It would be great if we could become the first London side to win an All-Ireland quarterfinal, especially for the 50th anniversary of the club."
