Carr hits back at Crokes
06 December 2012
Tir Conaill Gaels manager Paddy Carr believes that Dr Crokes are making a fuss over nothing about travelling over for the All-Ireland club SFC quarterfinal on Sunday week.
Dr Crokes joint manager Noel O'Leary stated that the London teams should travel here on occasion and save clubs at home the expense of always travelling to Ruislip.
But, Carr hit out at O'Leary's comments and he stressed to the Irish Post that the Kerryman should have considered his remarks before making them public.
"I think he'd need to put a little bit of thought into what he said because the evidence is there to show that playing the game in London hasn't actually proved in any way significant in the past. Nobody has made the breakthrough," said Carr.
"Secondly, it doesn't really matter to us anyway where we play the game. Maybe there is a difficulty for them in the logistics of coming over, but that's outside our control. But where the game is played wouldn't unduly concern us."
