Club Notes - 7th January 2008

All-Ireland Club Quarter Final

With all the festive activities behind us now its time to focus on the clubs biggest game of the season against Crossmaglen Rangers on January 27th.

Preparations have been going well with most players’ injury free and training hard to burn off the Xmas turkey.

Congratulations to senior players Brian Mc Brearty and Paddy Callaghan who got engaged over the holiday period.

Brian will be tying the knot with long term girlfriend Caroline who have been going out together way back when Brian was in his twenties.

Paddy will make sure he brings up a footballer in years to come by getting hitched to Parnellís football star Sharon Lynch.

The club wish both couples the very best of luck in their futures together.

Get well Dougie

Get well soon Dougie Carr who spent the Xmas period in hospital after taking ill before the holidays; he is hopeful of getting released this week.

London U21

A select London under 21 team will play against Castlehaven from Cork on Saturday 26th January at Greenford with a number of the Gaels lads involved.

New Minibus

The club would like to thank the Kelly Group for their generous donation of a seventeen seater mini bus recently.

The Kelly Group have been a great supporter of the club over the years and we are ever so grateful with the bus being a great help for all of the underage teams.

Club Draw

The club are selling tickets for a monster draw with a car being the star prize.

Tickets are priced at £20 each and can be obtained from any club member.
