Approach the same for McBrearty

14 December 2012

Tir Chonaill Gaels goalkeeper Brian McBrearty has stressed that they will approach the Dr Crokes game as they would any other.

The London champions are huge underdogs against the Kerry and Munster kingpins as TCG look to become the first London side to win in the All-Ireland club SFC.

McBrearty and his defenders will have the task of subduing one of the greatest forwards to grace the game in Colm 'Gooch' Cooper.

However, the Donegal native stressed that they won't be altering their approach to the match to counteract the Crokes' forward line.

"We just have to approach it the same way as any other game," McBrearty told the Irish Post. "There are a lot of good players over here too and we're use to playing against them. Playing inter-county football also helps.

"We just have to limit them as much as we can and hope our forwards can take their chances, and when you've got the likes of Kevin McMenamin and Eoin O'Neill in your team you know you're going to get some scores so it's a case of us just trying to keep it tight at the other end."
