Cross into All-Ireland semi-final

An improved second half display paved the way for All-Ireland club SF champions Crossmaglen Rangers to progress to the last four of this year’s competition as they overcame Tir Chonaill Gaels at Ruislip.

Crossmaglen Rangers 0-10
Tir Chonaill Gaels 0-6

The UK representatives gave as good as they got in the first period and it took three scores from Oisin McConville to keep the Armagh champions in touch in the opening half, as they sides went in level at 0-4 each at the break.

However, on the resumption Crossmaglen used all their experience to grind out the win and earn their semi-final place against Dublin’s St. Vincent’s in four week’s time.

Excellent scores from Tony Kernan and Michael McNamee saw the amber and blacks pull clear as Tir Chonaill Gaels scoring rate dropped considerably, with Darragh Kinneavy and David O’Brien grabbing their only second half scores.
