Doyle moves on

28 August 2013

One of the stars of London's fantastic run this year, Caolan Doyle has left the U.K.

Doyle lined out at midfield for the Exiles as they reached the Connacht final and the last 12 of the All-Ireland championship.

However, the Derry native will not be available to London for next year's campaign as he has departed to Qatar where he will take up a teaching job.

Doyle admitted to the Irish Post that it has been an incredible year and one that will live long in his memory.

"I only played one year of football here and not for a moment did I think I'd see a Connacht final or play in Croke Park," stressed Doyle.

"I have really enjoyed the journey and would love another season, but this opportunity came up and I decided to take it. It's a new adventure.

"I will play over there, but it probably won't be to the same level, unless Qatar get into the championship," he quipped.
