Arise Sir Paddy:
Not many people on this column will get praise, especially not two weeks on the trot, but we will have to give exception to club president Paddy Burke on this occasion.
Paddy as we mentioned last week is celebrating forty five years at the club, and for his outstanding contribution to our club and London GAA in general, he is about to get rewarded.
This Friday Paddy travels to Croke Park to receive the Presidents Award from Uachtaran Liam O’Neill for services to GAA.
All at the club could not be more proud to see Paddy receive this accolade for the wonderful work and dedication he has shown over many years in London GAA.
Take a bow Paddy, you thoroughly deserve it.

Niall Erskine:
Also making the headlines is our Vice President Niall Erskine who now resides in Killybegs but recently was elected onto Coiste Bainisti, the management committee at Croke Park. Niall was involved with the club from the late 80s up to 2009 were he held numerous positions on the board, he also spent three years as London county secretary before returning home to take up a position on his local club’s committee Killybegs.
He has held positions on the Rules Advisory committee, Central Council and now on the top table of Coiste Bainisti. Niall a huge congratulations from all at Tir Chonaill Gaels.

The club would like to pass our condolences to the families of two former members who passed away recently..
John Terrence McIntyre (Glenties) was a founder member of the club and also served as chairman, also Francie Carroll (Gweedore) a former championship winning player, our thoughts and prayers are with their families.

Au Revoir:
The club bids farewell to two of our members who have decided to call it a day here and return home to Donegal.
Adrian “Juicy” Byrne who has been here for 17 years and spent many of them as clubhouse manager returns to Carrick/Glencolmkille, while Benny Quinn joined the club in 2009 and won various medals at Senior and Reserve, Benny returns to Mountcharles.
Lads many thanks for your devoted services to the club over the years and we wish you both the very best for the future.

London County Team:
London played their forth match in the National league last Sunday against Waterford in Carriganore. They won by a score line of 2-10 to 0-9,  well done to all of the TCG lads who were involved including Declan Traynor, Philip Butler, Brian Collins, Mark Gottsche, Barry Mitchell, Cathal Magee, Joe Feeney, Eoin O’Neill and Aaron Bradley.
