Tir Chonaill Gaels Youth Notes - 31st March 2014

Cork Schools Exchange Tournament
Last Friday saw 250 primary school children from Cork and Harrow take
part in a gaelic tournament at Greenford. It was a wonderful days play with the good
weather being an added bonus. London and TCG player Philip Butler (who
has Cork roots) presented the medals to the enthusiastic participants.
The visiting children from Cork had an extremely full itinerary which
included sight-seeing in London and a trip to Wembley Stadium.  The adults were
able to enjoy the club's hospitality on the Saturday night with a meal
and social get-to-gether. Thanks go to Mark Digney, Lisa
Redmond, Judy Butler and Maureen Vaughan for their organisational
skills and looking after visitors on the clubs behalf, to referees Ollie
Hayes and Eoin Higgins, special thanks to Tony Griffin (London Youth Chairman) for his assistance on the day, to Maurice Carr and finally to Lois for the wonderful meal.  As a club we look forward to welcoming this Tournament to our grounds again next year.

Youth Quiz - Friday 4th April
8.15p.m. onwards after training.  All welcome.
