Tir Chonaill Gaels Club Notes - 19th May 2014

International 7s:
This Saturday 24th May the club hosts its annual sevens tournament at Greenford starting at 12 noon.
In the men's event 16 teams take part with St Paul's from Armagh and Irvinestown from Fermanagh travelling from Ireland.
Their will be 8 teams participating in the ladies event with a total of 6 pitches been used throughout the day.
The finals will be played at 4.15pm (Ladies) and mens at 4.45pm.
Following the finals their will be an exhibition match between London and Galway over 40s with throw-in at 5.30pm.
A presentation will follow with all the winning teams receiving prizes, food will be available all day with a BBQ and entertainment provided by a band/DJ.
Admission is free and a souvenir programme will be on sale on the day priced at £3

Juniors:
The junior team recorded their 2nd win in the league last Sunday at a hot Greenford.
Playing against St Clarets the young Guns had the better opening half with Ciaran Clarke finding the net, but we dropped our guard in the 2nd half and allowed Clarets to come back into it and put us under pressure.
Best on the day were Stephen Ruddy, Aidan Mc Garvey, Tommy Moriarty and Killian Butler.
