Tir Chonaill Gaels Club Notes - 21st September 2015

There was a disappointing end to the junior campaign as the Gaels went down to St Anthony's in the semi final on Saturday afternoon in the championship.
After racing into a commanding five point lead the boys struggled to put St Anthony's to the sword with some wayward shooting. They were dealt a major blow just before the break when a high ball into the box wasn't dealt with and the ball ended up in the net to allow the Anthony's back into the game. St Anthony's got another goal after the break and tagged on some scores to leave the Gaels chasing the game. Despite getting back within three points St Anthony's did a good job squeezing their own defence and pulled four points ahead by the end of the game.

No fixtures this coming weekend for the seniors. It's anticipated that the semi-final will be played the weekend of the 3rd/4th October.
